What is included when I book The Getaway Bar?
Each experience is thoughtfully tailored to your event and may include professional bartending service, a portable bar setup, cocktail tools, single use cups, mixers, garnishes, setup, and breakdown.
Your proposal will clearly outline everything included, so you can feel confident knowing the details are handled before your celebration begins.
Do you provide the alcohol?
North Carolina regulations require the host or client to purchase the alcohol served at their event. This is commonly referred to as a dry hire service.
You will not be left to figure it out alone. We create a customized shopping guide based on your guest count, event length, and selected menu, helping you purchase the right amount without overbuying or running short.
What does dry hire mean?
Dry hire simply means that you provide the alcohol, while The Getaway Bar provides the professional service and everything else included in your selected experience.
We can help you plan your beverage selections, determine appropriate quantities, and create a bar menu that feels perfectly suited to your event.
How is event pricing calculated?
Every event has its own guest count, location, timeline, and vision. Pricing is based on the level of service selected, the number of guests, service time, staffing needs, travel, and any custom details you would like included.
After you complete our inquiry form, we will create a clear and personalized proposal with all services and costs outlined.
Do you offer custom cocktail menus?
Absolutely. We can create a cocktail and mocktail menu inspired by your event, favorite flavors, season, theme, or personal story.
Whether you love timeless classics, fresh seasonal flavors, or something completely unique, we will help create a menu your guests will remember.
Can you serve nonalcoholic drinks?
Of course. Every guest deserves something special in their glass.
We can create handcrafted mocktails, specialty sodas, refreshing spritzes, and other alcohol free options that feel just as thoughtful and celebratory as the rest of the menu.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out as soon as you have your event date and location confirmed. Popular wedding and holiday dates can book several months in advance.
A signed agreement and retainer are required to officially reserve your date.
What areas do you serve?
The Getaway Bar is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and regularly serves events within 50 miles of the city.
Planning something farther away? Send us the details. Travel outside our standard service area may be available for an additional fee.
Can I see The Getaway Bar before booking?
Yes. We are happy to arrange a scheduled viewing when availability allows.

Can guests bring and serve their own drinks?
To help maintain a safe, polished, and responsible experience, all alcohol must be served by The Getaway Bar staff during contracted service hours.

Can you accommodate large events?
Yes. The Getaway Bar can provide service for intimate gatherings, weddings, corporate celebrations, festivals, and larger community events.

What happens if my venue already has a bar?
We can still provide professional bartending service using your venue's existing bar.
We also offer portable bar options when you would like to create a separate cocktail station, improve guest flow, or add a more distinctive visual feature to the space.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. The Getaway Bar carries general liability and liquor liability insurance.
Our bartenders are trained to serve responsibly, verify age when necessary, and manage alcohol service professionally. We are happy to provide proof of insurance to your venue when requested.
How do I reserve my date?
Begin by completing our inquiry form with your event date, location, guest count, and a few details about your celebration.
After reviewing your information, we will prepare a customized proposal. Your date will be officially reserved once the agreement is signed and the required retainer is received.
